Lorica’s core business is research & development of penetration-resistant materials mainly for use in body armour. The materials developed by Lorica are transferred to industry partners for commercial development.

Lorica provides guidance and advice to manufacturers, specifiers and users of body armour as well as training in all aspects of body armour assessment, procurement and deployment.

In addition, Lorica provides body armour testing and assessment services and conducts investigations involving body armour to prepare evidence for use in Courts of Law.
